Sponsorship
The expedition is approved and supported by the Royal Geographical Society (with The Institute of British Geographers).
The expedition has been approved by the Cambridge Expeditions Committee, and is therefore granted charitable status (registered charity number 311460)

There will be coverage of the expedition, both leading up to it and afterwards, in student newspapers such as Varsity, The Cambridge Student and the Oxbridge Traveller, and also in local newspapers. Sponsorship events, including a parachute jump, will raise its profile within the university and provide exposure for sponsors.

Please contact us if you are interested in sponsoring the expedition.

Kobold is the manufacturer of instrument watches and the world's only online watch company. Kobold watches are worn by explorers, military pilots, special weapons police units, and other high-risk specialists. The CEO, Michael Kobold commented on the expedition: "It was very nice to speak to you and I am proud to sponsor your expedition. I think it is great what you and your friends are doing and find it especially fascinating at what age you are doing it."

We will be wearing Kobold watches during the expedition and use them for the purposes of navigation and timing individual tasks.

The Schlumberger Cambridge Research Centre has kindly agreed to provide us with a laptop for the duration of the expedition and its planning. This will prove to be an invaluable tool both in the preparation and organisation leading up to the expedition, and in the field where it will be used for data logging and real time analysis of results.
